I went to Michael’s the other day, and purchased a few artificial floral pieces. To make them look more natural, I added a few living pieces as well. Some how it made me feel like it would be less maintenance!

It is definitely scarf and leather boot time in Maryland. I am not exactly a fan of cold weather, but I do love layering clothes. Summer is a season for one item outfits (blah), but fall and winter… these are layering seasons. Tees topped with sweaters, cinched with belts, covered with scarves!

I bought a pair of pants for the same price as my veggies. While shopping the Baltimore farmers market (my weekend obsession! the food is ahhmazing) I managed to spend twenty dollars on some incredible produce that is sure to make me that cook the world (or at least Ben) has been waiting for. We will table that topic for now. Cooking isn’t exactly my claim to fame.
Shopping, on the other hand, is part of my genome. You are probably thinking, sure, we all know how to spend, but I like to think of myself as a savvy shopper. I mean, who else can find perfect pants from Anthropologie for the same price as tomatoes, squash, carrots and french bread? These are yet another reason to use an inaccurate word like ahhmazing.
Yep, they even come with a cute little canvas pouch that holds the extra buttons. They are made by Daughters of the Liberation and they look super cute when slightly rolled at the ankle and paired with round-toe heels!

We always celebrate Halloween at my parent’s house because it is also my Dad’s birthday. One of the trick or treaters this year said, “Ew I wouldn’t want to give out candy on MY birthday.” …got to appreciate the honesty!
Tomatoes are always part of an Erc family dinner, especially a birthday meal for the big guy! Drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, delish!
I always save room for dessert. Chocolate birthday cake is hard to refuse, so I make life easy and don’t even try to refuse. And, I fully intend to have this for breakfast in the morning.
I’m learning very quickly that Sundays are for football. I once watched a half, only to find out that there were two more games that day which equals a few too many more halves for me to watch. My boyfriend, Ben, did pause for a moment to smile at the camera. Say, “cheese.”

I owe tribute to Lucketts Store for my perfect bargain coffee table find! Sure, the right leg may be a bit wobbly and yes, there are a few marks in the paint but, hey its my one of a kind.
Lesson 1, always measure the door frame before bringing in the couch. Needless to say, furniture option A didn’t quite work out, but Mr. Craigslist stepped up to the plate.
Option B, a craigslist find, quickly became my fav refuffle…

For the mono-toned outfit in need of some pizzaz, one must look to the accessory. No need to buy more jewelry and add to your collection of unwanted, broken, outdated items. Instead, search through that bin of old ribbons, the stash of worn-out bathing suits, the ties from a retired tank or bottom and let the “reruffleing” begin!
